Why choose us?

To us you’re not another visitor; you’re part of our surf family. The original and longest running surf camp in Nosara, we are a chill, laid back spot that loves sharing the pura vida of surfing with others in the truest, non-gimmicky, sense of the term. Imagine the classic ’60 and 70s Southern California surf scene merged with today’s local Nosaran culture. That’s us. The other resorts in the area fit their niche, and we fit ours. No egos here. No rivalries. Just a desire to provide you with memorable experiences of both surfing and our local culture so you feel as though you truly lived in Costa Rica, rather than merely visited it.

What’s your cancellation policy?

After an initial inquiry, a pre-reservation is made and held for 48 hrs so you have time to decide. You can then secure your reservation with a deposit. We do not offer refunds. For cancellations 60 days prior to your trip, deposits are transferable for a future trip. If you cancel after 60 days and we can sell your room, any money paid can go towards a future trip. If we are unable to resell your room, your deposit will be forfeited. The remaining balance can go towards a future trip.

Who is Corky Carroll?

Corky Carroll is one of the greatest surfers of all-time, and the first ever pro surfer. After a very successful career, he helped start our surf school in Huntington Beach, California, which later expanded to our resort here in Costa Rica. Corky was our first instructor, and developed the surf coaching system we still use today. So when you’re taking a surf lesson with us, you’re also learning to surf from one of the most iconic surfers of all-time. Pretty cool, right?
